We have been doing some experiments with our new meter here with some very good results. Barones was incredibly strong with a peak signal of 92% and many of the lower power stations have been clocking good figures

Sunday morning (February 5) was interesting, with Zonnester coming in very well for his programme before a qso and then Radio Tower on the frequency. Signals usually fade out at around 0930 here as the conditions change, but we could still hear Tower at 1230

On Monday evening it was very nice to copy Radio Salo for the first time. He was experimenting with low power was making it across the North Sea to our location, albeit with a weak signal. With better conditions and some more antenna improvements, much better reception should be possible in the future

Good to hear Sluwe Vos, with a better signal on the second occasion, peaking nicely with very low power. Interesting also to hear Marbus, who was testing with just 10 watts

Many of the Dutch stations have very high antennas. However, on Thursday evening Moby Dick was heard with some nice peaks using a vertical antenna which was only six metres high at the peak, with the coil standing at three metres!
