Reception in England this evening (July 21, 2011)

Here are some of the stations heard tonight with the Kenwood R5000 receiver and outdoor magnetic loop antenna. All times are UTC:

The biggest problem tonight was static on the band. There were some very strong signals, particularly from Armada, Kristal, Mijnwerker, Anton and Topedojager

Really good to hear some long programmes as well. Uniek was on air for at least three hours

There was some nice singing (!) on 1619 from Topedojager!

Brandaris from Amsterdam was coming in quite well. He was on air at the same time as Mijnwerker so was getting lots of splatter, but the signal was still good, with smooth audio

Hello David,

Radio Uniek is a new station in my town.
The virus went back to him .
I do not know if he is present on the AM-forum.
Just a few km from my QTH!
Also a "low" power station like me.
Your reception is still very good and static is normal in summertime with this weather.
