Reception in England this evening (July 30, 2011)

Here are some of the stations heard tonight (Saturday night) here in England. As usual the receiver was the Lowe HF225 and the antenna was the outdoor magnetic loop. All times are UTC:

Another busy night on MW from Holland. Best signal of the night was Orban, who was extremely powerful and with superb audio quality. Very nice indeed

Also sounding very good, with a super strong signal and great modulation was Batavier on 1640 - the best I have heard him here in England

Royal was using a new antenna and had a better signal than usual, so it is working well!

Very interesting to hear Korenklopper for the first time. First of all he was heard on 1690 with some interference from a Balkan station, but was later on 1611 and was received much better without interference. Nice programme also!

While Batavier was on 1640 there was a QSO very nearby with Mijnwerker, Professor Zickbok and Zomerzon, a station heard for the first time in England tonight

Matrix was on air with a very long programme, which was nice to hear. The signal here was perhaps the best yet
